Jennifer Lopez Ruled Out Of World Cup Plans

Jennifer Lopez will not perform as planned at the opening ceremony of the 2014 World Cup in São Paulo, Brazil, on Thursday because of what FIFA officials are calling “production issues,” The Associated Press has reported. Ms. Lopez was scheduled to appear alongside the rapper Pitbull and the Brazilian star Claudia Leitte for a performance of “We Are One (Ole Ola),” the official song of the soccer tournament, before the opening match between Brazil and Croatia. All three artists perform on the recording of the track, which was released in April and written and co-produced by Pitbull. A replacement for Ms. Lopez has not been announced.
