Twitter has announced the removal of its mobile app #Music. The service was pulled from the App Store Friday afternoon and will stop working on devices that already downloaded it on April 18.
This announcement was made just a year after the Twitter #music was introduced. The service helps users discover new artists and bands. The shut down of the service must have been as a result of the fierce competition that exist between the mobile music service space.
However, Twitter promises to stay tuned;
"We continue to experiment with new ways to bring you great content based on the music activity we see every day on Twitter."
