iPhone Still Makes the Most Appealing In Emerging Markets

Recent study by Upstream has revealed that Apple has become the top most prefered brands amongst buyers in emerging markets which includes; Brazil, China, India, Nigeria and Vietnam. The survey pool shows that Apple has 32 percent interest from the survey pool, with Samsung trailing at 29 percent and Nokia still demonstrating strong brand appeal in third with 13 percent.

Despite the strong usage of Androids, powering 296,493 active smartphone devices in these regions, versus 90,184 iOS-powered mobile gadgets, Apple still beats Samsung as the top desired platform for 2013. The only setback Apple has in turning the desire to sales as is the cost of their devices as the people within this regions use more of a low end phone.

If Apple could come up with low end devices like Nokia is doing with their new android devices, it might help out.
